Midlife Transition – The First Stage of Midlife – Accommodation

For years I taught the Myers Briggs personality types to people and recently, I’ve come to truly celebrate differences and to understand that our preferences are truly something we get at birth and not inherited from the environment. But our perception of ourselves and a lot of our behavior is influenced by the environment. So, going through midlife, we can notice that we all go through several phases – although not necessarily in the same intensity. The first of these phases does seem to be universal. Jung called it Accommodation.
