How Much Time Should Everyday Tasks Take?

There are certain tasks that are daily tasks at any business usually and have to be completed on a daily basis. Many of these tasks for management are to keep the manager/director in the know for how the business, department, or team is doing. Some managers I have seen do this weekly and I have seen it go past weekly. Whether it is looking at hours worked, scheduling, reviews, handing out jobs to be completed, going over the accomplished work I have often seen a pile of this by the end of the week that has to be gone over. I’ll admit it, when I started managing I did it the same way. Come on, a lot happens during the day so things had to wait.
